Got to fish with Larry, Gary, Johnny and Chris today. The morning started out looking like we may be hanging around the dock until the storm passed. Johnny said that Gainesville was flooded when he went through and it was headed our way. Watched the weather for about 45minutes and it looked liked it stalled out so we headed out to the islands for some topwater. Bam 1,2, 3 then it was over. Headed on down towards the dam and started slabbing up some real nice fish. Looked around for some more and picked at them for a while. Went over to the other side of the lake and it was the mother load of big fish after big fish. Johnny got a 16+, I got a 13+ and I can't remember who caught what but it was awesome. These fish were stacked in there deep and pulling like freight trains. We threw back 20+ overs and many others. Chris can chime in with the total counts I was having too much fun to keep track, plus I was in the front of the boat with Johnny and you know how entertaining that can be. The pics of the fish on the table don't do the fish justice, and we tried to only keep the injured ones. This was one of those days that at first looked like it was going to be a bust but turned out to be epic.
Notice the first pic of the rainbow, you can see the pot of gold on the end - lake Texoma.

Forgot to mention ( I am getting old and thats the first thing to go and I can't remember the second). The rainbow Started at the Texas shoreline and spanned across to the Oklahoma side. Also Johnny caught a couple with ole ugly and (please correct me if I am wrong)a couple of others were using one of his long slabs and I just can't remember what they were called but they worked great on the big uns.

One more bit of info, on the way to the car in the lot after we got in, I had a yellow jacket fly in my shirt, I got bit about 10-12 times and had to go get benadryl asap. I am ok but it was not good.

Gene the bucktails on mine only lasted about 1/2 a day but that was quite a few big fish..
Mine were not Moes. They were older ones, that style is the best I have ever used as far as catching large fish.
