This is an inspired pattern by realistic tier Fred Hannie and B Laminack. It's my version of the texas gulf shrimp, the entire shrimp is made 100% out of mono wel minus the hair but the body is all monofilament line. They are much fun to tie and so much fun to fish as well. There's nothing better then seeing telling redfish wake behind your fly just to eat a shrimp. Just wanted to see what you all think about my version!

Nice, did you use mono and epoxy to make your own eyes too? or are they the shrimp/crab eyes they sell?

Hey I appreciate all the kind words, I will say redfish have been loving them lately. Early in the morning during the tailing session and also when the sun pops out when sight casting.

I tie the shrimp using different pound test of mono, the eye are burnt mono with nail polish and rolled in epoxy to get a good shape and the moody is a made from 40-17lb mono. the only thing that is not mono is the deer hair and the epoxy. If any one is interested in any let me know!
