I had the same luck on lewisville as well. Out in little elm. Maybe we will both have better luck next time!

If I were at 121 and wanted to avoid the skunk, I'd probably try pitching or dabbling small scented crappie jigs in the cracks and crevices of dock areas and the tires to pick up gills, spotted bass, and maybe largemouth.
A tactic for sandbass would be to slow troll a few 2" sassy shad style swimbaits with the right depth and speed that the baits make sporadic contact with the bottom along the channels dug out for the boats or where ever you graph fish in open water. If you see surface action just cast the same rig and fish it a bit more aggressively. Clear chartreuse glitter can be a good color in the less stained water.
If you graph fish holding on structure like trees or brush piles they could be crappie. A blue and white 2" baby shad style bait might be a good choice. Drop the jigs slowly and then hold them still for a few minutes tight to cover at the depth where you've graphed the fish.
121 cut and the dam will hold fish almost always but not sure if you want to deal with the boat traffic.
