Jetter,
BLT is holding one of their championship tournaments on Texoma on Nov 15 out of Highport.

Just something to think about.

May see you at a couple tournaments this year

RMOROTT21,
These are Divisional tournaments, not the same as the weekend series. I think there about 80 different divisions that ABA has set up around the Nation. By joining a Division like ours and fishing atleast 4 events it will qualify you for the Divisional Championship and if you accumulate enough points throughout the year, you will be invited to nationals. Hope you come out and join us
Josh

Is this a linking circuit fishing with co-angler in boat or a solo circuit?

PK-BASSIN,
ABA is a linking circuit opportunity, if you do not have a boat you are still welcome to fish as a co-angler.
If you fish as a co-angler you still have a 5 fish limit to obtain, and you will be competing against everyone in the field, not just the co-anglers. I hope this answers your question.
Come out and join us, Sept.20th on Cedar Creek is fast approaching!
Josh

Thank you for the info! So, you are also competing directly with the boater that you fish with and the rest of the boaters & co- anglers? How does the linking work? Do you split time on TM with the boater you fish with?

How does the linking work? it a random draw

Do you split time on TM with the boater you fish with? That between you and the person you draw; very few boater are going to hand over their boat if they think the boater is inexperienced. Keep in mind that non-boater are asked to contribute to cost...gas in a boat is not cheap.

PK-BASSIN,
I Concur with what NitroUSAF has explained to you about co-angler and sharing. Although it is rare for Boaters to give up the trolling motor, most of these guys in Division 56 are pretty awesome guys. My boat went down for an ABA event and i fished from the back of the boat. My Boater showed me alot of water and techniques i hadn't thought about trying and I ended up winning that tournament from the back of the boat. I never used the trolling motor, but he never front ended me and gave me alot opportunities.
To answer your previous question, Yes you will be competing directly with your boater and everyone who has signed up at the boat ramp for that Event.
I hope this answers your question, Feel free to check out http://www.americanbassanglers.com/
Thanks
Josh

the boater and non-boater share the time, but not the trolling motor. So for 1/2 the day the non-boater can be able to fish his waters, but not control the boat, But keep in mind that if you ask the boater to run 10 miles or more away from where he fished in the morning your cost will go up in contributing to the gas bill. I fished out of the back of the boat for many years in the ABA and I did get to learn a lot from the boaters, I also had a few bad experiences too, but that comes with the terf. The majority of the time they are very respectful. The ABA a very well run club, good luck guys and division 112 has their 2014/2015 schedule up now too.
