Alright guys I've been here for a little while but this will be my first time fishing out of state. Does anyone have any pointers for me? Any bank specific tips? Is this place freshwater, salt, brackish? I'm completely out of my usual situation here guys. I'll be down there from September 5-7. Anything you guys think I should target?

I have been fishing around the pier and Jetty at cameron and catching a lot of Gaff Tops and some Bull Reds up to 48" long, I havn't caught any sharks yet but I don't think it will be long, there is a fishing pier at Cameron but it closes at 10:00pm unless you are camping then you can fish all night

Holly beach, little Florida beach, Mae's beach. I fish a double drop rig with 5-6 circle hook with a spider weight with fresh mullet if you have a cast net you should have no problem catching some. I always pick up some frozen mullet just in case. Cast out as far as you can and hang on. Early morning and early evening is best for bull reds. I catch more on mullet heads hooked through the eyes. We are staying in a rental on constance beach that same weekend. Fishing there and down on Mae's beach away from the rocks for sharks and reds. If you see a black dodge with a flag flying stop and say hi.

Wow. I may have to meet up with you for a quick saltwater rundown. This will be our first time ever fishing in the salt. What kind of shark is that by the way?

Go down 27 through hackberry to holly beach. You can head west on 82 along the beach to little fla, constance, or Mae's beach. If you have 4 wheel drive you can drive on little fla or Mae's. if not you can park close to the beach. I have seen 2 wheel drives on holly beach.
