Brent Molloy and a couple of his long time friends fished with me this morning. The weather was beautiful and the fishing was pretty good too. We boated about 25 fish on slabs with the largest being close to 8 lbs. not quite as good as it has been for me but a decent day. We released about 5 overs and kept 20 to clean. It was a great day on Lake Texoma. The last pic is from a trip earlier this week. This young man hooked himself and was surprisingly tough. He was even happier when I got the hooks removed from his forehead. I told him not to hook the guide. I guess I should have told him not to hook himself either.

That's one tough kid. Makes my little finger hookings look like nothing.

Is that a slab in his head?

John, thanks for the fishing today and the knowledge of the lake. It was an awesome day.

Anyone looking for a guide will never find a better person, much less a guide than John. He worked his butt off for us today and was more than willing to answer questions and pass on his knowledge and expertise on the fishery. I have hunted and fished all my life as well as guided myself and it takes a specific type of person with social skills as well as know how and work ethic to make a difference.... John Blasingame is that guy.

If you truly want to experience Texoma and learn, there is only one man to see and that's John.

So glad that it caught him in the forehead and not an eye. Closest call I've had in my boat. He really was a trooper and fished on. Thanks for the kind words Brent. It wasn't a great day of fishing but it was a good day with great company.
