Don is ageing fast and one of the last things he wanted to do was fish one more time. Carolyn, his Hospice worker called a few days ago and arranged the trip. It was a day I want forget; Don and his younger brother LaSalle were really great. Don got to show off his fishing skills and LaSalle helped keep the old stories coming. Thanks Carolyn for trusting me with someone's last wishes. Fishing report for now is slow fishing. Catching a few fish early with top water baits and picking up a few more off the bottom with slabs. Catching a few crappie with minnows and according to Don, grasshoppers work pretty good as well. Picking up a few blue catfish and channel catfish with Danny kings punch bait and sour grain.
