It's been over 20 years since I was last able to fish Toledo Bend, but I finally got the chance again this past weekend and I had an absolute blast! I almost forgot how truly awesome and beautiful this lake is. It has everything you could possibly want to fish!

We were fishing mid-lake (the Patroon Creek finger I believe) and it was pretty tough for us and all the other boats we came across. But we managed to scratch out a few fish each day tossing around junebug and redbug colored T-rigged worms. Tried some cranking and Carolina-rigging on some off-shore structure we knew about, but it didn't pan out so much.

Anyways, it was a great weekend just being on such a fantastic lake. I included a video and some pics of the weekend below.

Cool video! I love that lake. My wife and I just bought a lake lot not far from Holly Park where you were fishing.

Good video. I was at Toledo Bend all last week myself. We fished a few hours in the morning and a couple hours in the evenings. We caught fish on Football jigs, frogs, crankbaits, Alabama rigs, Tx. Rig soft plastics, etc. Our biggest was right at 5 lbs. I'm looking for a camp to buy over there now so we did a lot of looking around. Glad you guys caught some fish. I love fishing that lake.
