Took son and two of his friends this morning as a last summer trip before school. We fished from 7:30 to about 10. Tern birds were plentiful this morning right of the bat at mid lake and keeper sandies were "schooling" under the birds. We were the only boat there with another boat that preferred trolling. Three boys were throwing slabs and all caught good numbers. I threw mepps and larger godfather slab and caught many as well. The sandies were very hungery this morning! We also caught two feisty rhsa baby hybrids there. Then the wind picked up pretty good and the boys had enough catching fun and wanted to swiming. We only kept 20 for grandma. Some catching pics from this morning. We had one triple and many doubles. The 10 yr old took the pic of our triple and doh!  Catching depth was 10 to 2 ft. Winds 10 to 20 S. Water temp 83 degrees. It got pretty windy so we went further South for calm waters so the boys can safely swim. I was playing lifeguard and fished at the same time and caught a few yellows. So decided to whip out my new secret weapon, the PK Ham Samich! BAM, a hybrid took it! I am always learning something new in the sport of feeshing!

Glad you had a good day. I love fishing on weekdays and it will get better when school starts next week. So were the fish 10 feet down in deep water or in 10 feet of water?

 That's great stuff there Todd! I am rolling at the ham samich pic!!! I wanted to be the first to add that to the mix! Anyways glad the boys got some good fishing in before the grind of school starts.

The south wind was pushing shad and fish from 10 ft to the shallows of robertson park. We caught both vertical jiggings bottom and throwing shallows.
