RHBC newcomer Dan Margules fishing with Ray Hubbard veteran Andy Medina had 3 for 10 pounds but that included big bass of the tournament, a 6.14 beast.
David Horton and Preston Smith are having a strong year as well. They finished 6th with 5 for 11.62
Last check and fifth place went to the team of Jerry Brown and Tony Climer Jr, as all the Climers entered went home with a little cash. They had 5 for 11.71
TD's Matt Jackson and Russell Olds got fourth place with 5 for 11.77 that included a 5.54 big fish. For those that think the heat has them crazy, no, Matt always looks like that...
Third place went to Jason Hunnicutt and Travis Reaves who are having a very good year. However, they are both in witness protection and cannot have their picture taken. They had 5 for 14.10
Second place went to Justin Garrett and Gary Anderson. Justin is threatening to run away with the AOY title. They had 5 for 16.79 that included a 5.99 big bass.
Great fisherman do whatever they have to do to win. When Tommy told me after the tournament that he caught one of their biggest fish on a wacky worm, I thought the heat had gotten to him but I think he was surprised by it too. These guys are a threat to win any tournament they enter. Here's the winning stringer of 17.88 that included a big fish of 5.76. Congratulations guys.
Our next tournament will be Saturday September 13th on Cypress Springs. We will be fishing 6:00AM to 3:00PM and launching from Overlook Park. Hope to see you there!
