When there is water fishing is pretty good.

I am thinking about moving to lake grandbury. Very concerned about the lake levels. Would love to buy a waterfront but with water levels being so low not sure. Do you think the lake levels will come up again?

Well the good thing for you is that since the water is low, so are the waterfront prices. Also, IMO the lake will come up eventually, may not be this year or even the next few years but eventually it will. Also, I know that a lot of it is due to drought but I don't believe its 100% drought causing this (which is what the BRA wants you to believe). The BRA has their hand in it and I think something has to give as far as them selling water downstream. Too many pissed off people.

Not maybe, It's definitely BRA. The water will come back up, but if it will stay is another question. I live out right where BRA operates, and generally as soon as we get a rain you can hear the generators running and sending it elsewhere. mad

BRA has absolutely no desire to keep water in granbury now that their agreement with city is expired will continue to sell water with no regard to the inhabitants of granbury. As soon as they announced they were no longer going to charge annual dock fees I knew lake level would never stay full. Wet years we will have water since capacity of lake is so small it can fill quickly but it won't stay full unless we continue to get rain or the rice fields down south have enough water without bra having to sell it off.

Nick is 100% correct. We've thought about buying at the low price but it's going to be a rollercoaster ride for waterfront owners. Having said that if you have a boat load of money now is your time to buy and sell when there is water.

I lived there 10 years, what's not to like, low water, golden algae, meth heads on the north side, some of the highest electricity bills in the state cause the city signed like a 10 year deal at the peak then marks it up and sells. Oh, Yankees plenty of them. Decent golf, I will give it that and close to Squaw creek.

You left out the high cost of water bills. I lived on that lake for 10 years also and most of my neighbors that didn't live directly on the lake got rid of their grass yards and went to rock yards. Wondering what all the people that have huge yards backing up to the lake that used to get free water are doing now that water is several hundred yards from their pumps. I know they can't afford paying for water from Johnson County COOP.
