Hit Lake Waco for 3 hours Saturday and it was dead until we switched from my homemade feathered jigs to Bonehead plastic jigs. Pylons produced the best for us while timber was dead and brush piles were very slow. The bite was very lite. Many times you'd just feel one lite thump and they were gone. And when you did get a hook in the fish, I don't know if it was because of the lite bite or the Aberdeen hooks (we always use sickle), but we lost more at the surface than we got in the boat. The first two in the boat were the biggest, one at 13 1/2" and the other just under 14". Out of the 10 in the boat eight were keepers with the smallest at 11". Every hit came on the fall. These are the Bonehead jigs that caught for us, with the brown ones doing the best

Good job. Boating good crappie is a chore in July. Try the Blue ice. They've been good to me. I like the graffiti chartreuse also.

Wish you could have come by with Jeff Saturday afternoon. We shared goodies, lies, and laughter. It was a good visit for sure.

I used a white head and the gold and silver version Bonehead slim stick it was a smoker on the fish for sure sunday and I had great luck with the green and chart tailed version as well a week or so back from the bank they have a nice action in the water as well due to the extra soft el strecho plastic maybe ? try swimming one beside the boat sometime and watch it interesting to say the least
