And the stripers much all have lock jaw ! We went out with 2 boats Sunday and I have never seen that many fish on my fish finder in my life. As soon as we got just north of the Katy bridge and in front of McCowen Park they were everywhere. We both fished about 3 hours with shad, perch, slabs, and not one fish. What is up with Whitney? The days of just finding the birds, and 10 or so boats all gathered up, and catching sand bass and stripers are gone.
May your wiener schnitzel always stay above your lederhosein.

Should have come around to the State Park area, the whites and small stripers schooled up for a while (and have been daily) then we got on a point in 28' of water and caught magnum whites. We where using gold 3/4 oz slabs with the prism reflection on the sides. I am scraping off the gold down to the white primer leaving a little of the reflective gold on the head and a little on the tail of the slab, seems to work better, the water is getting really clear. Plenty of boats gathered up down there, looked like a boat show! I moved off later and put down the downriggers and we caught stripers to 11 lbs on white jigs with white trailers. Give me a shout when you come back and I'll share some info with you.
