I need advise on how to catch large fish such as kings, trout, reds, and others from the surfside/quintinana jetty. I am going there tomorrow and would like to know some tactics. Also let me know of any other hot spots in that area.
You'll always miss 100% of the shots you don't take.

Several rods set out with live shrimp, croaker, and mullet, and try casting with a gold spoon or jerkbait while you wait.

Ive never been there but if you looking for kings they move in to jetties this time of year at high tide early mornings if posable. You will need a long rod and big jerk or show diving baits.
