Just wrapped up a great week of fishing and relaxing on and around Broken Bow Lake in SW Oklahoma.
I would like to thank and give a shout out to largemouthokie. Pat and Mary Ann run an awesome business with their 5 cabins close to all the action at lake BB. We have stayed at other properties in the area but they didn't compare to theirs at Deer Creek Retreat. You want to talk about clean, these cabins were spotless and was fully stocked with everything you could need during your stay. They recently purchased all new beds, linens and many other amenities for these cabins and have made major improvements since purchasing them earlier this year. Their rates are the best in the area as well.
We fished and caught schooling blacks in the upper end of the lake, Holley creek area. We caught walleye and whites behind the powerhouse on the river. Then we went with Steve Branson a trout guide for over 20 years on the river. My wife Lynda absolutely loved trout fishing! I had to drag her away from the river each day. You talk about a turn around. She is the one who is normally calling me after I have been out fishing for several hours asking when I'm coming home. Or the one who is asking what time were leaving right after we get to the lake.
