I'm gonna take the family to Caddo lake in a couple days and I'm looking for any and all advice I can get on that lake. Went a couple months ago and couldn't catch a single catfish. My wife want Big Pines for lunch so I'll prolly fish the morning and then eat and go home.

I was there in April. That was then and this is now, so not much help for what is going on now. We were crappie fishing by Britt's Gap in 12 ft of water and caught cat fish mixed with the crappie. Another fisherman was fishing the river channel south of Johnson's Ranch and was slaying the catfish every day. The pattern is prolly completely different now. Good luck.

It's a tough lake to fish but totally worth it. I do best casting cut bait in the knees on the river channels. Many, many ways to fish this lake. It can take a day or two to figure it out sometimes. It changes quickly and often as well.
