Does it tell you when the fish are not biting?
Seriously, with my back problems I was told by someone to get an inversion table. Never heard of them. Who has one besides Benny. (He's a fisherman so you can't believe much he says.)

Ha! Ever been halibut fishing in AK? You'll hang upside down like one of those big slabs at the dock! Seriously though, it is a contraption that holds you upside down in a frame to stretch out your joints.

I have 3 herniated disks in my lower back and those happened after a back surgery to repair two others. After trying all sorts of things including injections that work for me, my pain doctor wrote me a prescription for an inversion table (the prescription helped save on tax and attempts to get insurance to cover). Anyway he told me to use the table every night before I go to bed. That allows you to stretch things back out and then lay down to keep them that way. I have had very few occurrences of pain in the 3-4 years that I have owned the inversion table, before the table the pain was almost debilitating and other doctors told me to get a two level spinal fusion. The inversion table has worked for me.

Now if I could get a prescription to learn how to catch crappie year round I would be ok. I guess only having an 8' bass hunter boat makes it difficult when they are in the main lake.

Ernest, the one on TV called the Teeter Hang up. Made by Roger Teeter. Decompress the joints in your spine allowing more blood flow and reduces swelling.

I got one a couple weeks ago. Used it once and it was instant relief from the pain. Of course it only lasted about 20 minutes and the pain returned. But the more one uses it the longer the pain stays away in most cases. And you don't have to go completely upside down on it to stretch your back out for the relief. It really does help. Got mine for $100. If my operation is a success, and I don't need it any longer I have 3 guys wanting to buy it from me.

Ernest, I would say two things: -If you get one, work up gradually to complete inversion. It can catch some people off guard, some need to get used to it gradually -I hope it helps. With me, it felt great while I was on it, but once I went back on my feet it went back to painful. Works for some, not for others
Good luck.

I've had two back surgeries over the years and bought one off of craigslist a few years ago. Mine works wonders for me, but you really do have to work your way up to using it at full inversion, for any period of time, but again it really does work for me. Academy carries a few there and you can sometimes find them on craigslist list. Inversion table

It has been a life saver for me. Make sure the dogs are outside when you get on one. They will not pass down the opportunity for a few lick in the face if they get the opportunity.

I've been using one for almost 15 years. I don't use it nearly as much any more (my back is a lot better).

Ernest, the one on TV called the Teeter Hang up. Made by Roger Teeter. Decompress the joints in your spine allowing more blood flow and reduces swelling. I saw the infomercial for that one. Looks like good quality and features. Beats others on safety and stability features. I have crushed discs so I do a lot of core work to strengthen and stabilize. I'm just not sure where I would put it. Looks kinda bulky and I don't have a spare room.

I got one last week for my back and it really does help. I'll make a deal with you. I'll strap it on my boat and take you and it to a couple of your secret spots and let you hang upside down while I try to catch a few. If you like it, I'll buy you one for just a few more spots. If you don't, I'll make you give up ALL your super secret spots before I flip you back upright. Sound like a deal to you? Make sure you are stretching your legs and back before you do anything moderately strenuous (like putting out condos). If your hamstrings are tight, it can put some pressure on your spine and cause the same issues. Hope your back feels better soon.

I hear that it is somewhat difficult to drink a diet Pepsi and eat peanut butter crackers while hanging upside down, so I don't really think it's a good idea for you.

Seriously, with my back problems I was told by someone to get an inversion table. Never heard of them. Who has one besides Benny. (He's a fisherman so you can't believe much he says.) At first I thought is that like the Thermocline? I have one and a bad back, it is great to use to get relief from pain, just stretch your back out and keep it up with some pain killers (I use Arthritis 650 tylenol). You have to start off for 1-5 minutes (maybe 30 seconds), all my fat want to shut off my breathing. DO it every morning and it will get easier and you will start to see permanent relief, if you are like me. I did not go see a doctor first, but that is always a good idea. It is in my garage now had to make room for my Grandson's stuff, but I pull it out and use when I need to.

Also:
I use to go to the Chiropractor regular I recently went to the doctor for X-Rays and a check up, just to make sure I am not messing up my back.
There is a point where the inversion table quits working, but by then you are getting better. I bought one many years ago and I was going to the Chiropractor pretty regular, my trips to the Chiro started getting to be 6-8 months a part and now I haven't been in over a year. Your back is a complicated thing just be careful.

Doctor said they work great, just go slowly at first and get used to it. I purchased a good one from a thrift store for $37.50' Can't beat that, I like a bargain. Now will see how it works.

Well I tried it and it works for my back. Unfortunately due to an inner ear problem I get dizzy when using it. I only have $40.00 invested in it so if anyone on TFF wants to buy it let me know. If not I will put it on Craigs list next week.
