pearow and I were doing a trip, and I was unemployed, so the trip had to be CHEAP, and well, I took pearow, so the trip had to be CHEAP...

I believe we chased redfish for 7 straight days (including gas from DFW/east TX) and spent a TOTAL of < $500 of course it was a weekly rate at a roach motel. Now, this was not the trip with the motel that caught on fire, mind you, we were a little higher class than that.

Anyway I was thinking about that trip today while I was getting some groceries and I was in the sandwich bag aisle. While shopping on the coast, we found the cheapest ziplock type bags to put our lunch in for on the water. (Bologna, white bread, 39 cent yellow mustard.)

We get back to the motel and pearow says, I know why these bags are so dang cheap, they are only half size!!! We bought snack size bags. Not on purpose.

Potted meat. For fisherman on a budget. 3 cans for a buck. Tastes great and packs small. In warm weather, all you need to eat it is a straw.

I have a buddy that calls them " mash " sandwiches. Take two slices of bread and mash them together.

Dave, was that the trip that I fought that redfish for about 30 minutes and we was speculating it had to weigh 8 or 9 pounds. When I finally got it to the yak, it weighed like 2 pounds!!!!!!! That was funny!!!!-p-

I had a good friend in the navy who told me he always made
spam sandwiches to take on local California party boats. So I
made a couple for a trip out of Port Hueneme. Now in the navy
or on deep sea boats I have never been sea sick. I think if I had eaten both I probably could not still say that though.
