I dont know how people have "lost so many fish" on the factory hooks on the YM poppers but I know I have as well as tons of others that have caught good ones on them with no problem. I dont expect the Havana hooks to be any less quality.

Seriously? The yellow magic hooks are notoriously soft. I know I've lost a few good fish on them because I was lazy and didn't change them out.

Quit using 65 lb braid on a broomstick rod.

Soft... Yes!! loosing fish bc of it... Hardly ever!! Good job trolling!! I do recommend changing the hooks but I've caught an 8 at fork and had me crazy wrapped! Also be careful with the hooks u change to bc it will affect it's action!

I order 3 form tackle warehouse should arrive Thursday, can't wait use them. Also the popper YM hooks are soft I change hooks to a KVD round bend hooks.

Those that have problems with the soft hooks, LOOSEN YOUR DRAG SO THE FISH CAN RUN WITH THE BAIT!!!! Did I yell that loud enough? The YM has GREAT hooks, but they are soft. In 2000, I used a 1/4 oz popper (YM) and caught 2 8's a 6 and a 5 with NO PROBLEMS, but I LOOSENED MY DRAG BECAUSE OF THE SOFTER HOOKS!!!!!!! Don't try to horse them into the boat, let the rod, reel, line hooks do their work. Just thought you should know. ;)Hope this helps.

Well its good advice to loosen your drag when you aren't in heavy brush or over thick hydrilla but if you are sticking quality fish around cover id change the hooks
