Today I had Ray and Steve, from Crosby, TX, out for a morning on Somerville. Light winds from S/W when we anchored, then light from N/E, then zero wind, then back S/W, never more than about 2 mph. So, it was hot, sweating hot, water and gator aid drinking hot. Somerville lake level is full pool now.
But the bite was hot too. First fish caught and released was 14#, released two more 13-15# size. They ended up catching their 50 cat limit by 10:30am, with a few 5-8# mixed in. I even released an 8#er accidently at the cleaning station when it flopped out of my hand just as I was about to apply the fillet knife, lucky fish.
All fish caught on CJ's Crawdad punch bait, under cork and tight lines, in 4-14' water.

As always Weldon puts people on fish day in day out using CJ's punch bait, amazing simply amazing.
