Shoot it would cost me somewhere in the ballpark of $200 just to fish this tournament! lol I have no 360 light ($70-80 unlees you make a homemade one?, no hawg trough yet ($30) $25 tournament fee and at least $50 in gas) Gonna have to pass on this one but it does sound like a blast being able to only use Grande Bass stuff! Ill be looking forward to the results from this one for sure!

I would like to fish this tournament. I have always wanted to fish that lake. I like planning things ahead of time so does anyone mind telling me where some put ins are? And is there any camping nearby? Not wanting anyone's secret spots just looking for some areas where I can access the lake. I think I found some on Google maps just not sure what's private or public. PM if you want to keep it on the down low wink Thanks in advance.

you can put in at festival beach or under hwy35 or you can also put in at Austin high school. i dont think you can camp there. it is unsafe to many homeless.

Closest camping is probably McKinney Falls State Park. Although there's plenty who camp out along the LBL banks and under the bridges. Don't think that's what you had in mind, however.

The online Grande Bass store is having a special right now!!! 12 free bags with purchases over $75...plus free shipping. Order 15 bags for $79.....get 12 bags free. 27 bags total for $2.93 per bag! That should get you geared up for this!

Bottom line there is no camping anywhere near the lake...my suggestion is this: drive down Friday, pick your motel somewhere your choice but make it in Round Rock. From Round Rock its about a 20-30 minute drive to the check-in location faster if there super light traffic at 5am. The ramp at 35 bridge is really close to weigh in site and much easier to find for those who have never been to AHS ramp...I have not been just overly excited about fishing this year but this event is going to be a blast...even for those of us who never fish a worm.

Would a jig with a Grande Bass trailer be acceptable?
