Joey Damiano brought out his brother and his dad to fish with me this weekend. Saturday we spent most our time looking for those big slab fish I had been catching but I never found them. We managed only 8 fish and even worse on Friday when I took my long time friend Jeff Wiggington and former DHS coach. He brought out the coaching staff from DeSoto and we couldn't hardly buy a bite. The cold front rearranged my bite big time but today the sun came out and the fish cooperated very nicely. We had all our overs and boated almost 50 fish. All fish were caught on topwaters but I'm hoping by the time I get back from vacation the slab bite is back on and in full swing like it was starting to be before the cold front hit. I'm headed to put my toes in the water and my [censored] in the sand for a few days with the family. It's a much needed vacation and I'm grateful for time to spend with them and grateful for how busy I've been this year so I can take them. Get out there and enjoy cause it's always a good day on Lake Texoma. Well almost always. See y'all in a week.

We still need to go slab fishing with John. After catching all those throw backs yesterday on roadrunners I think slab fishing might be fun if I can get them to bite.

For sure Mike. Slabing some stripers would be a blast.
