Sixth place went to Jim Phillips and Randy Bridges with 5 for 18.82. Nice job guys!
Their bag was anchored by this 6.27 beast.
Fourth place went to long time RHBC members Brandon Putnam and Joey Deans with 5 for 19.74 that included a 5.92 kicker.
Proving the rumor that they can fall out of bed and catch 20 pounds were father and son team of Shawn and Alec Castonguay. They had not been on Lavon for 2 years and had 5 for 21.14.
Second place went to the team of Steve Tigert and Derek Sullivan who had 5 for 22.10. Their bag included a 7.42 kicker.
Winning the event were Justin Garrett and Gary Anderson with 5 for 22.68. This was Justin's second win of the year as he won on Ray Roberts fishing with his Dad Jeff. Jeff did tell us that he taught Justin everything he knows. Congratulations guys!
Low water proved to be an issue when it came to getting boats off the water at weigh in time. A special thanks goes to Joey Deans for stepping in and helping out with weigh in when Russell Olds was caught on the water. Russell fishes with RHBC TD Matt Jackson who skipped the event for the birth of his first child. We all question Matt's loyalty and priorities... Just kidding, congratulations Matt! Here's Joey manning the scales.
An apology goes to RHBC Secretary/Treasurer Jeff Cartwright and his partner Mitchel Bailey who finished fifth with 5 for 18.82 and included big bass of the tournament with a 7.63 toad. Somehow we did not get their picture. Great day on the water guys.
Next up is Lake Tawakoni on July 12th. See you all there!
