Too little information Bait or lures? Wading or boat? Braid or mono? There's hundreds of choices a few are best.

Will use lures mostly. some times bait. Need one rod that is ok for both. need length and action.

I'm sure others that use high dollar custom rods will disagree but....
I typically use a 7' medium action Ugly Stik. We have landed many many redfish in the 40" + range and specs, drum etc..
They work well for lures, bottom fishing, popping cork rigs etc... Just a good all around rod that doesn't break the bank.
They are not real expensive usually $40-$60 Just my opinion....for what it's worth

^ There is a lot to say for this.
I use a Falcon Coastal, though.

I recommend the Falcon Coastal 7' - 7'6" Medium action depending on boat vs. bank/pier fishing. I personally like the 7'6" for all around use: a single/double drop leader with 3/0 - 4/0 hooks and 1 to 1 1/2 ounce sinker for bait fishing, the bottom. And 3/8 to 1/2 lead head or Carolina for soft baits up to 4".
