hey fellas, i lurk a lot lots of awesome info around here, but a question finally.

im heading to lake palestine this week for vacation, gonna take the boat down there and try some bass fishing for the firs time on that lake. we launch right off of 355 around the corner from flat creek, any tips on baits and colors i might start with out there, stopping by bass pro on the way. im new to bass fishing out of a boat, all i do right now is just fish docks and drop offs, lol, but ill get there one day. smile thanks in advance guys yall are awesome.

fished a tournament last weekend, caught a bunch of fish, nothing size wise, flipped docks with a shakey head with green pumpkin trick worms. Went through a whole brand new bag that day.

Finesse jigs...black is a good color...neon black speed craw trailer. I'd also pick up some blade baits and go chase white bass if I got bored. You may luck out and run into some Hybrids...the hybrids seem to prefer 6xds and Talon Lake Fork Dandy spoons.

Wacky worm Senko type bait Green Pumpkin Magic, or your favorite around docks and rocks. Red/Chart crankbaits in stained water.
