I can remember those days, my father loved to fly fish. I was just 7 or 8 years old so I just played around. Oh BTW, this was in Ohio and near a place called 'Beaver Creek'.
I was amazed at all the fishing line he would strip out, keep in the air with that little fly on the end, out in the stream in hip deep waders, having a ball.
Water was really fast flowing, we had to walk a long way in to get to 'his spot'. But, it was great fun just being with you Dad.
I only got to go with him a few times here in Texas before we lost him. We caught some but, he just wasn't as 'avid' about crappie or bass fishing here but, we got to talk a lot then.
Those were good days, I miss them.

I agree this was a good read. Never had a bad fishing outing with my dad no matter what we (I) lost or broke. Sure do miss him.

I learned from my Dad that the reason I could not catch fish was because I was not holding my mouth right. I lost my Dad when I was 15 years old and I wish he was still around so I could take him fishing. Those are some great memories.

Dad used to say "I'd rather be here not catching fish than being home wishing I was here not catching fish."

My Dad, loved to fish. I got to go with him most all of my life. I remember his famous two'ees. To cold, To hot, only two fish, to windy, lol was a lot of fun. Lots of memories to think back on. Thanks Dad...
