Made one last night with poly rope, carabiners at both ends (one to attach to trolley), and the other attaches to the plastic clamp (ran a heavy duty zip tie through the hole in clamp handle). Large plastic clamps available at Ace/HD/Lowes/ very cheap in the tool section. Will be great for clamping to trees, poles, etc. The plastic clamps float and release easily.

Now I know what I'm getting the wife for her birthday!!! They do sell an assortment bag of different sized plastic clamps for like $5 You can say you bought the smaller clamps for her to use as chip and bag clips.

I got a bag of clamps today but none float. Oh well maybe the rope will. I've thought about a couple of small screws just long enough to poke through the little red pieces so maybe it'll get more bite.

Are you guys familiar with this? The harder you pull the tighter it gets. Comes with 10 foot of line. I've used them to hold a 20 bassboat so kayaks and other small boats are no problem http://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/blakemor...ush&Ntk=AllYou can use the teeth if gripping timber or go around something completely like a pole and use the inside section. It works either way. I've used it to grip submerged timber also that was close enough to reach.

Yeah man I have one of those and it works great but the local Academy has been sold out for a long while plus I like to tinker a bit.
