Lake Fork is loaded with white bass and one can find them from the dam to the upper ends of the lake. Currently, they are schooling some, but most can be caught in 20 to 30 foot of water on humps, points and roadbeds. Matter of fact, caught some in 40 to 45 foot of water yesterday. Thought I had ran into a mother load black bass only to find it was a giant school of whites. Anyway, they were, are, and will always be fun to catch. Goes to show they are always moving and could be about anywhere on the lake. Just like locations where you can find them, there are many ways to catch them.
Favorite tactics of mine for non-surface whites are double rigged crappie jigs (catch 2 at a time), 1/2 to 3/4 oz jigging spoons, or 4" single swimbaits. On the surface activity, a 3 or 4" swimbait ran just under the surface, or just about any popping lure like a yellow magic.
Hope this information will help out on the next trip to Lake Fork. I also will be glad to assist with your trip. Rates are less than black bass trips $75 a person 2 person minimum if you clean them (1/2 Day). $100 per person if I clean them. Most of the time a limit can be reached within a 1/2 day trip.
Thanks for looking, and I can be reached at 972-849-2685 or pm, Ray
