Now that we've scared the [censored] out of everyone that owns an Ascend FS12T or anyone that was thinking of getting one, rolfmao you might want to read the article below. Its out of date so not sure if they still apply but some good tips on what you should do with any kayak purchase.

http://www.kayakfishingmagazine.net/arti...warranties.html

Lots of strong opinions on the FS12T but overall I think the passion that we all have for kayak fishing and each of our desires to make sure the newcomer to the sport has a great first time experience is the overriding concern.

I have no doubts Bass Pro will make things right for those that might have problems.

A good rule of angling philosophy is not to interfere with another fisherman's ways of being happy, unless you want to be hated.

I don't think any of the criticism scared anyone away! If anything it's just saying what needed to be said, and I already see positive results in immediate communication with someone who can help with the problems.
Customer service is one area not enough businesses put a priority on these days.
Glad to see it in this case! thumb

Dean, I think the seat issue is something that will be overcome by most, until Bass Pro fixes it permanently, which I also think will happen.

Check out the current thread titled "New Guy from Oklahoma". This guy has a new FS12T and took his son out on the lake with him. This guy weighs 250#. I'm betting the sales people at one of the local outlets that sell kayaks would have steered him toward something that would have had a better chance of supporting him. I think this will be your biggest problem to overcome.
