I have never used it, but a quick google search returned a lot of info.

they refered to it in a crappie article posted earlier. I assumed it was something diffent then the cat version, which we used to use in rivers up north for blues and flatheads. I suppose you could just use minnows....hmmmm. Thanks for the info

That's an Alabama rig. Checky Wyliecrappieman's sig. grin

I believe a Kentucky rig is a live bait rig where as the weight is on the bottom and the hook is tied up the line from the weight. I think this is also called a bottom bouncer rig.

You might get an answer from Bottom Bouncer himself, Wes of Bottom Bouncer Guide Service - who's web page is not working right now. His TFF handle is Bottom_bouncer, I think.

Yall need to be careful with those "Kentucky Hillbilly" statements. I resemble those remarks hammer.

Pretty cool thread. A guy asked for help and got it while the rest of us had some fun too.

Bobcat, were you able to get off to go fishing? rolfmao

Kentucky rigs will work for fishing brushpiles, slow trolling, and working ledges. A slip bobber, split shot, and light wire hook(minnow)/or 1/16-1/8th jig will work better in shallower creeks. Hope this helps. Brad

Yep that was me that did that. Sorry Brad. I was just bored at work having a little fun. I'll try not to let it happen again.
