shimano baitrunners are the best of all, really rugged, last a lifetime if cared for. not the cheapest, but worth every penny if you can afford em

Im impressed with the Okuma spinning reel and I usually dont care for spinning reels in general. I prefer baitcasters but if i where to buy a spinning outfit, I would not hesitate to get another Okuma.

 65 series reels I like those! I guess they only way to get them is from Cabelas. Too bad bass pro doesn't have one similar unless the okumas are not bad?... Those Reels are made by Okuma. The owners book is an Okuma book. PM sent.

awe now ... somebody lock this thread ... ya'll makin' me wanna get a big ole spinner & i done weaned off'um years ago
my first long rod was a 10' spinning rod & i had a big shimano spinning reel on it (don't remember the model) ... i got this in about 1984 ... i could prolly out throw anybody around stamford lake at that time with it ... it was a good rig but later i got hooked on baitcasters & ain't looked back ... well i ain't looked back much anyhow
regards albertking catfishing is now an industry ... it's best for the industry to eat baby catfish

anybody had this happen ... over a period of months, the mono on one of my spinning reels keep cinching down tighter & tighter until it split the spool on half

Just getting some info from you guys on spinning reels? Wife bought me a ugly stick spinning rod and need a reel for it? Thx for all advice in advance.

cool- you'll like it - like i said it was what I started looking at but saved a lil $ with CatMaxx-- u get 65 size? baitrunner or regular?
