Ive caught a LOT of fish on braided line with the football jig. I prefer it over any other line to get a better hook set on big fish. But, on highly pressured lakes like Fork it does make a huge difference on the number of bites by switching to Fluor

The Bluegill Hotel really looks like a nice place to fish. I know what you mean about the rivers. Creeks and rivers will take 3-5 days to clear up.

It's hard to get meaningful pictures when you're fishing alone. And, since I do catch and release, there's no big bunch of fish to take a picture of.
